Basalt Tadpole Seals
Basalt woven fibers are manufactured from Basalt Rock. Basalt rock is an igneous rock that originates from molten lava. Its naturally occuring resistances to heat make it 100% non-hazardous and 100% recyclable. It also has a higher tensil strength and is more abrasion resistant when compared to standard woven fiberglass. Basalt also carries a lot of other natural characteristics including excellent acid and alkali resistance, excellent abrasion resistance, high thermal capacity, and a high melting point.
Our basalt tadpole seals are good for 1200°F/649°C of constant heat.
